The University s Board of Trustees has determined that all contracts, deeds and other legal instruments made in the ordinary course of the business of the University be executed by the President of the University or one of his designees as determined by the Delegation of Authority to the President. The President has designated University officials as contracting authorities, and identified the restrictions on their exercise of authority within the Designation of Contracting Authorities Policy. No college, school, department, center, institute, University recognized student organization, or other internal entity has authority to contract on the Universitys behalf in its own name. Only those specifically identified in the Designation of Contracting Authorities, or in a current subdelegation form, may sign contracts on behalf of the University or any of its colleges or departments, and then only if the contract has been reviewed and approved by the Office of General Counsel (unless using a University contract template).
