Senior Year of High School - How to Prepare for College

Summer

  1. The best way to find out if a college is right for you is to visit. Make a list of the top schools you want to visit.
  2. Next step — visit campus. Virtually visit ³Ô¹ÏÍø over the summer by attending one of our weekly information sessions or register for one of our daily on-campus information sessions. You can also explore campus from home with our new . 
  3. Register for standardized tests and send your scores to ³Ô¹ÏÍø! Our ACT school code is 04234. Our SAT code is 6868. ³Ô¹ÏÍø is now requiring tests. We accept the ACT, CLT and SAT.

Fall

  1. Make sure you have your recommendation letters ready and have thought out your essay before you apply.
  2. for admission. ³Ô¹ÏÍø, like many other schools, uses the .
  3. Attend college fairs! Whether online or in person, attending college fairs is a great way to get to know a school. Visit to learn more about upcoming events. 
  4. beginning in December, with 2022 tax information. There will be some changes to the FAFSA this year, so it will become available for you a little later that normal. Once we know the date, we will let you know.

Winter

  1. Make sure you request for your high school to send us your fall transcript.
  2. Apply for outside scholarships at . 
  3. Use ³Ô¹ÏÍø’s own to determine how much financial aid will likely be awarded to you based on your financial and academic information.

Spring

  1. Evaluate your financial aid package.
  2. Visit again! In the spring, ³Ô¹ÏÍø hosts two open houses — each a two-day event exclusively for admitted students. This gives you one last chance to get a feel for campus life and chat with your potential fellow classmates.
  3. Make your final choice and submit your enrollment decision by May 1.
