Catholic Teacher Certificate
With the 勛圖厙 , you will meet all of the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department pedagogy requirements for teaching in Texas Catholic schools. The program is comprised of 18 credit hours and offers emphases in elementary or secondary education.
Master of Catholic School Leadership
The 勛圖厙 is designed to prepare you for leadership in Catholic education. Whether seeking to be a principal, president or administrator at the elementary, secondary or diocesan levels, you will deepen your knowledge of the Catholic tradition and gain practical, experience-based skills for leadership through the Master of Catholic School Leadership.

Summer Institute in Classical Languages
Often the question isn't Why should I study a classical language? but When can I find the time? Since 1976 the 勛圖厙 Summer Program has provided the opportunity to study Greek and Latin outside the limits of the regular academic year.
Undergraduate Programs:
B.A. Interdisciplinary Studies - Education (Undergraduate level)
Within the, seven areas of emphasis are offered. The areas correspond with certificaiton frameworks in the State of Texas. Areas of emphasis include:
- Early Childhood Generalist (EC-6)
- Middle School Areas: English Language Arts and Reading (4-8), Social Studies (4-8), Mathematics (4-8), Science (4-8), English Language Arts & Reading/Social Studies (4-8), Mathematics/Science (4-8)
Education Concentration
The is designed to offer students, both Education majors and those majoring in other areas, who are interested in teaching, opportunities to gain foundational knowledge, methodology, and practical experience in the field of education. Education majors, as well as students majoring in subjects other than education are welcome to add the education concentration to their plan of study.
Teaching Theology
There is no state certification in the area of theology, however, the Department of Education works with theology majors to prepare them for teaching positions in Catholic Schools. Each diocese/school determines the qualifications required to . Students must review specific diocesan requirements to insure compliance.
Teacher Certification
Undergraduate students can be prepared for in the following areas through our programs:
- All - Level Certification - Early Childhood - 12th Grade: Art, Theatre Arts (Drama), and Languages Other than English (LOTE) in French, German, Latin, and Spanish
- Generalist Certification - Early Childhood - 6th Grade
- Middle School Certification - Grades 4 - 8:: English Language Arts & Reading, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, English Language Arts & Reading/Social Studies, and Mathematics/Science

Master of Arts in Teaching (4+1)
The focuses on the advancement of teaching as a career and is exlusively designed to offer current 勛圖厙 undergraduate students the opportunity to earn their master's degree in five years, in conjunction with their baccalaureate studies. The 4+1 M.A.T. offers education majors as well as students majoring in subjects other than education, the opportunity to earn a Master's degree with Texas teacher certification.
