Renita Murimi, PhD, CISSPRenita Murimi, PhD, CISSP
Dr. Renita Murimi joined the ³Ô¹ÏÍø in Fall 2019 as an Associate Professor of Cybersecurity in the Gupta College of Business. She received her PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a BE in Electronics and Communications from Manipal University, India. Renita is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Renita’s research interests are in the field of network science, cybersecurity, blockchain and wireless sensor networks. She is interested in cross-disciplinary research initiatives, and was the recipient of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) Grand Challenges Explorations Award. Her research has been published in journals and conference proceedings, including at the MIT Media Lab.

She teaches in the Master’s program in Cybersecurity in the Gupta College of Business at the ³Ô¹ÏÍø.

Brian Wrozek, CISSPBrian Wrozek, M.B.A., CISSP
Brian Wrozek is a seasoned cybersecurity executive with 20+ years of experience in IT and information security and management. As vice president of corporate security, risk and compliance management and physical security at Optiv, Wrozek oversees all corporate security functions including cyber operations, incident response, vulnerability management and security governance activities.

Prior to assuming this role, Wrozek was a managing executive director at Optiv who worked closely with security executives to provide c-suite advisory services defining cyber strategy, roadmaps and solutions to meet clients’ security objectives.

Wrozek is a former chief security officer (CSO) for Alliance Data, where he had enterprise responsibility for information security and physical security. Before Alliance Data, he managed all facets of electronic data and system security worldwide as the IT security and privacy director at Texas Instruments.

As an adjunct professor in the Satish and Yasmin Gupta College of Business at the ³Ô¹ÏÍø, Wrozek teaches graduate-level cybersecurity courses. He is also a board member for the Texas CISO Council, an Information Sharing and Analysis Organization (ISAO).

Wrozek earned his bachelor’s in computer science from Michigan Technological University and his MBA, with an information assurance certification, from the ³Ô¹ÏÍø.

This program is held in an online format with 5 online live sessions led by our professors in the University's LMS. Students attend online sessions for lecture and discussion, and will complete assigned work on their own between live sessions.

 Tuition includes the five Saturday online live sessions with the professors, and all course materials required to participate in the class. The tuition fee does not include the cost of the CISSP certification exam.

EARLY-BIRD REGISTRATION TUITION RATES:

Students can qualify for an early bird discount by completing the registration process (including payment) by the early bird deadline. The early bird period ends 30 days from the start of the class. To qualify for the early bird discount, students must fill out and submit the online application form and submit payment before the early bird deadline (see registration deadline section for deadline information).

OTHER DISCOUNTS: The University offers discounts to ³Ô¹ÏÍø Alumni and Students, ³Ô¹ÏÍø Employees, Government Employees (federal and local), and US Veterans. To qualify for the discount, students must provide an active .edu or .gov email, ³Ô¹ÏÍø ID, or membership number.

The maximum class capacity is 20 students. We reserve seats in class on a first-come, first-served basis. To secure a spot in the course, you must fill out the online application form and submit your payment. Application forms without payment do not guarantee a spot in class.

The ³Ô¹ÏÍø accepts the following forms of payment: 

  • Cash payments: Our Office of Finance receives cash payments during regular business hours.
  • Credit/Debit card payments: We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express using our online payment portal.
  • Check payments: Make the check payable to "³Ô¹ÏÍø," write the student's name and id number in the memo, and mail it to ³Ô¹ÏÍø - Business Office, 1845 E. Northgate Drive, Irving, TX 75062
  • Letters of Credit or Corporate Sponsorship: Please get in touch with Jennifer Howard at jlhoward@udallas.edu for more information on this option.
  • Payment Arrangement: We have a payment arrangement option for students who need a little help. This option divides Tuition into multiple payments. Executive Education students who wish to participate must complete and fill out the Payment Arrangement section of the application to enroll in this option.

How payment arrangements work: Payments are billed monthly. You submit the first payment when you sign up for the payment arrangement. You can make all subsequent payments before the due date. The University must receive all payments in the agreement before releasing any certificate or transcript.

    • Requires an initial payment of $1,040 plus a second payment of $572, and a final payment of $572.


PAYMENT ARRANGEMENT DUE DATES:

Your first payment establishes your payment schedule. It is highly recommended that you submit your first payment immediately to secure your space in class. The last day you can submit your payment is 15-days prior to the class's start date. The list below shows the payment due dates based on the first payment.

  • November payment arrangement: A November payment arrangement has three payments. The first payment determined by your tuition rate is due before the end of the month. The second payment is due by December 30, and the final payment is due January 31, 2025.
  • December payment arrangement: A December payment arrangement has three payments. The first payment determined by your tuition rate is due before the end of the month. The second payment is due by January 31, and the final payment is due February 22, 2025.
    • To qualify for the early-bird rate your first payment must be received by December 26, 2024.
  • January payment arrangement: A January payment arrangement splits your tuition fee into two equal payments where the amount is determined by your tuition rate. The January payment is due no later than January 10, 2025.

Important Clarifications:

  • To qualify for the early-bird tuition rates: We must receive your application and payment before the early-bird deadlines. No payment arrangement is available for early-bird rates after the deadlines.
  • To submit payment: You will be taken to our payment portal to submit your payment upon completion of the application / registration form.
  • To sign up for the payment arrangement: You will select payment arrangement option in the registration form and be required to provide specific information and agree to the terms. No payment arrangement is available without filling out this section of the registration form.
